MEVA posted an update
I accidentally listed one of my products twice. How can I remedy my mistake?
Khadigah L Brown and Adam-
HI Meva – you can log in to Amazon and delete the duplicate listing. Here’s the process:
1️⃣ Log Into Seller Central
Go to: https://sellercentral.amazon.com
2️⃣ Navigate to Manage Inventory
From the main dashboard, hover over “Inventory” in the top menu.
Click “Manage All Inventory.”
3️⃣ Locate the Duplicate Listing
Search for the product name, ASIN, or SKU using the search bar at the top of the inventory page.
Find both versions of the product listing.
4️⃣ Select the Duplicate Listing
Check the box next to the duplicate listing (be careful NOT to delete the active or correct one!).
Tip: If you’re not sure, look at the creation date, SKU, or status (inactive, error, etc.).
5️⃣ Choose “Delete Product and Listing”
With the duplicate selected, click the “Action on Selected” dropdown menu at the top of the page.
Select “Delete Product and Listing”.
6️⃣ Confirm the Deletion
A pop-up will appear asking if you’re sure you want to delete.
Confirm it.
Important: Deleting a listing only removes it from your seller account. It does NOT remove the product from the Amazon catalog itself.
🔥 Pro Tips:
Double-check before deleting! Make sure you’re deleting the right one (compare SKUs carefully).
Give it a few minutes—sometimes the listing will show as “Pending Removal” before fully disappearing.
If you have inventory tied to the duplicate, create a removal order before deleting if needed.
Archiving vs. Deleting: If you’re unsure, you can also archive a listing instead of deleting it—it hides it but doesn’t fully remove it.
