FYI – expiration dates on Blain’s Farm & Fleet food products – this might save some of y’all extra costs and headaches

Adam mentioned in today’s session that expired food products (or those not expired yet but with too little shelf life left to send to Amazon) are a recurring problem at the prep center. If you don’t want a rude surprise from the prep center that your product is too close to expiration to send to Amazon, don’t order from Blain’s for FBA. They don’t list expiration dates on their website. When I contacted them, the response was that all products have at least 60 days of shelf life. That’s not good enough to send to Amazon. The products might have more than that, of course, and may have enough to submit to Amazon, but you won’t know until the products can be examined.

If you’re doing FBM, you could take a chance knowing that if the expiration date is too short that you’ll end up selling the product on eBay or elsewhere or donating it to an appropriate charity.
